Why is Cyber Monday called Cyber Monday?
Traditionally Black Friday was the day when shoppers would head to stores to enjoy deals and discounts, whereas Cyber Monday would be when retailers would offer savings online, hence the use of ‘Cyber’. Of course, in 2025, both Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals are available online with far fewer people heading for the physical stores.

Cyber Monday 2025 is on Monday, December 1.
What is the difference between Black Friday and Cyber Monday?
In the modern day, very little, other than Cyber Monday being the last chance to take advantage of the vast number of sales and offers. In the past, Black Friday required shoppers to head to the stores to get the best deals, with online offers kicking in on the following Monday.
What happens on Cyber Monday?
It’s the same as Black Friday, just effectively the final day of the now, in many cases, month-long sale. Many of the deals that have been live through November or across Black Friday weekend will remain available, although some retailers will add more items or slash prices further.
Are there new golf deals on Cyber Monday?
Yes, we expect to see a lot of new deals across the day with retailers adding additional discounted golf products to the sale to attract shoppers who want to spend more or who haven’t found the items they’re interested in across Black Friday and the weekend. This year the best deals started on Friday 29th November and will end on Monday 2nd December.
How much does Black Friday discount?
Black Friday discounts will vary significantly between retailers with some research suggesting the average savings across the sale period to be in the region of 50%. The more popular items will often have a smaller discount around 20%, with less popular and featured products getting discounts anywhere from 30% to 70% off
Who has the best golf deals on Black Friday?
As often is the case with most things retail, the big-name companies will often have the best Black Friday deals. If you’re in the US that will be places like Walmart, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and PGA Superstore. If you’re here in the UK then you have American Golf and Scottsdale Golf, but you’ll often find Amazon leading the pack on Black Friday with competitive prices across a wide range of products with great delivery options.
