Truvis golf balls available to public

Published:

After another successful week on the world tours, Truvis Golf have announced that their unique ball design is finally available to the general public.

We brought you the inside information on the Truvis ball phenomenon last year but until now the balls were only available in limited supply.

The balls feature a unique football-style pattern on the cover which is designed to make them more visible and easier to use.

This week Gary Wolstenholme used the balls to great effect on the European Seniors Tour with victory in the Czech Republic in only his second event on the circuit. He finished ahead of Gordon Brand Jnr, who was also playing the Truvis ball.

On the Ladies European Tour, Becky Brewerton and Trish Johnson are also Truvis converts with Johnson winning as recently as last week with the ball.

The ball features 12 pentagons which enhance the 3D appearance to give the impression it is sitting up, even in a bad lie.

The pattern reveals the exact movement of the ball on and around the greens. Truvis say it allows for greater short game abilities through greater and more precise knowledge of movement. This means you can have a better understanding of what has happened to the ball if you miss a putt.

Currently the pattern is available on the Srixon AD333 and the Srixon Z-Star Gold balls. They come in a blue or red pattern and are completely legal for competition use.
