2025 BMW International Open betting tips: Our expert’s top picks in Munich
Last updated:

Resident tipster Tom Jacobs picks out his top BMW International Open betting tips ahead of the DP World Tour event.
Not to be confused with the BMW PGA Championship in September, the BMW International Open is the first of two annual DP World Tour events sponsored by the German automobile giants. And while the prize fund may be dwarfed by its Rolex Series cousin, the International Open’s list of champions is just as distinguished.
Sandy Lyle, Colin Montgomerie, John Daly, Lee Westwood, Ernie Els, Henrik Stenson, Martin Kaymer, and Viktor Hovland have all lifted the trophy, won last year by Scotland’s Ewen Ferguson. The man from Glasgow secured his third DPWT title with a two-stroke victory from David Micheluzzi and Jordan Smith in Munich.
There’s another strong field in town this week, including two of LIV Golf’s top stars – last week’s Dallas winner, Patrick Reed, and Portrush-bound Sergio Garcia.
Before revealing my BMW International Open betting tips for the week, here’s everything else you need to know…

BMW International Open betting tips
The Longshot: Jens Dantorp 1501 e/w (Sky Bet, Paddy Power 6 Places)
One player who I think can outplay his odds in the triple-digit range this week is Sweden’s Jens Dantorp, who is 3/3 for made cuts at this course, and finished 6th here 12 months ago.
Not only has Dantorp shown promise at this course in recent years, but in his last two starts, he has ranked 1st and 3rd in SG Approach and 6th and 23rd in SG Tee to Green, which is a great sign for a player at long odds.
At 36, the journeyman tag is a fair one, but he is a three-time Challenge Tour winner, most recently in 2022, and he recently contended in India, where he was just one of four players who finished the week level-par or better.
We mentioned a crossover between the Soudal Open and this event, as the last three winners here all have top 4 finishes in that event, and Dantorp’s best effort on Tour came in that event, when he finished 2nd behind fellow Swede, Simon Forsstrom.
This looks a good bet at long odds, and a finish inside the top 6 would reward as handsomely enough to take a shot on him.
The Outsider: Romain Langasque 80/1 e/w (Sky Bet, Paddy Power 6 Places)
Romain Langasque is quite often priced nearer the top of the market on the DP World Tour, so when there’s an opportunity to back him at closer to 100/1, I am going to take the opportunity, especially on this course.
The Frenchman has recorded 5th and 9th place finishes in his last three starts here at this course, and he was in 2nd place at the halfway mark here 12 months ago. Given this course form and his recent top 10 at the Soudal Open, an event that provides plenty of crossover, I think he’s a worthwhile bet.
His iron play wasn’t great last time out, but his irons were decent enough at the Soudal, where he ranked 17th on Approach, and I am going to rely on his previous course form helping out here.
A once-promising amateur who has yet to reach the heights expected of him will really be hoping to double his DP World Tour win tally sooner rather than later. As a creature of habit who tends to perform well at the same courses, it looks likely that a win at one of his preferred stops is most likely.
44th at the Turkish Airlines Open doesn’t tell the full story as he was 13th there going into Sunday, and I think he can put together a good week here, as he has done twice before.
The Banker: Nicolai von Dellingshausen 55/1 e/w (Sky Bet, Paddy Power 6 Places)
Sometimes we have to realign our thoughts on a player, and this is certainly the case for Nicolai von Dellingshausen, who I hardly considered a winner at the start of the season, let alone someone that’s likely to win twice.
That’s been the case for a couple of players this season, and that just goes to show the overall lack of depth on the DP World Tour these days. With that said, this field is one that features a host of star names, including Patrick Reed, David Puig, and Sergio Garcia from LIV, and leading tour players like Jordan Smith, Haotong Li, and Ramus Neegaard-Petersen. Factor in Matti Schmid, who returns from the PGA Tour to play at home, and you have a deeper field, and as such, a chance to bet players at better odds this week.
This stronger field has led me to find value in recent winner, von Dellingshausen, who is priced like he’s unlikely to double his tally. I disagree. He’s shown enough since winning, finishing 7th and 5th in his next two events, to suggest a return home may bring out a second win on the season.
Since winning the Austrian Open by two strokes, von Dellingshausen has added a 7th at the KLM Open, where he was brilliant over the weekend, and a 5th last week in Italy, where he started reasonably quickly and then closed with a 65 to secure another top 5.
At 32, he’s a bit of a late bloomer, but this is already his best season at the top level if he did nothing from here, but he looks to have the bit between his teeth now. 17th, 14th, and 17th in SG Approach in his last three events and 25th, 19th, and 15th in SG Tee to Green, his good form is based on solid ball striking foundations, and that’s very appealing.
On top of that, he has played well in front of his home crowd before, finishing 5th in this event in 2022, where he shot an opening 64 and a 66 on moving day as well. Other than that, there’s only really a 26th place finish on debut to shout about, but he looks a different player now, and it’s the first chance for him to play at home as a DP World Tour winner.
The Bonus Pick: Dan Bradbury 90/1 e/w (Sky Bet, Paddy Power 6 Places)
There’s a chance of missing the boat here, after watching Dan Bradbury finish 7th and 3rd in the last two events. He tends to go on short runs, and it may be that his effort last week was his best chance to win for a while.
With that said, he’s a reliable performer when in form, and his upside is the best iron player in the field, which is the sort of skillset you can rely on most weeks, let alone here at the BMW International Open.
At his best, he is a two-time winner, first in South Africa and then again at Le Golf National, and it’s that ability to play courses like that that appeals to me.
He has played here once, finishing a distinctly average 43rd, but he’s in better form this time around, and he just fell short of finding a low round there, rather than blowing up on any given day. He was solid enough, and now, playing the way he is, he can shoot the lower numbers required to get in the mix here.
10th at the Soudal Open in 2023 is an additional bonus, and at 90/1, I will take a shot on the upside of him being potentially the best player on Approach this week, after ranking inside the top 10 in his last two events.
