Scottie Scheffler and Meredith Scudder met at Highland Park High School in Dallas, Texas, and began dating in January 2014.
After high school, Meredith and Scottie embarked on a long-distance relationship while pursuing their studies at rival universities. Meredith attended Texas A&M University, where she majored in communication and business, while Scottie played collegiate golf at the University of Texas.
Scheffler proposed to Scudder in June 2020 during a hike at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in Texas, and they married on December 4, 2020, at Arlington Hall in Dallas.

Scudder has a background in event planning and philanthropy. She co-founded “With Purpose: College Station,” a Texas-based non-profit organization focused on childhood cancer awareness. Since January 2015, she has served as the organization’s vice president and event planning team leader. She has also worked as an ambassador for Juice Plus and held internships with Kanakuk Ministries, KIVU Gap Year, Family Legacy, and Live Beyond.
Scudder has been an incredibly strong supporter of Scheffler’s golfing career, frequently attending tournaments and celebrating his achievements. Scheffler has publicly acknowledged her unwavering support, crediting her as a key part of his success.

In May 2024, Scheffler and Scudder welcomed their first child, a son named Bennett.
Leading up to the 2024 Masters, Scheffler made it clear that even the pursuit of a second green jacket wouldn’t take priority over his growing family. He announced that if Scudder went into labor during the tournament, he wouldn’t hesitate – he’d withdraw immediately.
Scheffler and his family live in Dallas, Texas. Located in the Devonshire neighborhood, their 5,000-square-foot home features five bedrooms, six bathrooms, and a luxurious backyard with a pool.
