Gary Wolstenholme, the most succeassful England amateur of all time, sets another record next month when he makes his 200th appearance for his country when he lines up against Spain at Royal Ashdown Forest on May 12-13.

The 46-year-old was awarded an MBE in the New Year Honours List and has represented his country for the best part of two decades.

He said: “I’ll be extremely proud to make my 200th appearance for England. When I made by debut in 1988 who’d have thought that I’d still be playing international golf and passing 200 appearances?”

Amateur legend Wolstenholme is based at Kilworth Springs GC in Leicestershire and he’ll be in action at Royal Ashdown alongside: Seve Benson, Gary Boyd, David Horsey, Stephen Lewton, Jamie Moul, Ben Parker, John Parry and Paul Waring.
