Scottish Tour star Colin Montgomerie has been involved in a nasty head on collision just days before the World Matchplay in Arizona – in a priceless golf cart!
But before you get too concerned for the amiable Scot don’t fear; the shunt took the form of a small incident during the media launch of this year’s BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth.
Monty had put himself forward to race multiple World Touring Car Champion, BMW driver and mortorsport legend Andy Priaulx during the event but got a little more than he bargained for when the pair ended up crashing head on – destroying the front end of two of Goodwood House Golf Club’s prized golf carts!
Thankfully the damage was limited to the buggies only and the pair continued their head to head buggy race and despite the accident they couldn’t be separated at the final whistle. Check out our images of the event here and come back later for the exclusive video of it actually happening!
