Englishman David Howell will not feature at this week’s US Open at Oakmont because of a wrist injury.
The Ryder Cup star has been plagued by a persistent back problem and was expected to make his return in the second Major of the year, but the 31-year-old will now miss the event due to a wrist problem picked up during practice.
Howell’s place in the field will be taken by American Luke List.
