Oct1 Lutonhoo

Today (Oct 1) saw the eagerly-awaited launch of Luton Hoo, a palatial Grade One listed mansion set in over 1,000 acres, and jointly created by prominent English architect, Robert Adam, and the equally famous 18th century landscape designer, Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown.

Luton Hoo will re-open as a five star hotel, with 144 bedrooms and suites, an 18 hole golf course, restored Victorian tennis court and a Russian Orthodox chapel.

Elite Hotels have painstakingly restored many of the original features and furnishings, giving the hotel a timeless feel and a chance for guests to step back to a time when the house entertained a galaxy of the good and great.

The hotel will house a state-of-the-art spa which will open in November.  Located in the original stable block, the Spa will feature dedicated spa suites for in-room treatments, a stunning oak framed 18 metre pool, saunarium, sauna, steam room and gym.

All rooms offer views of the stunning parkland surroundings and gardens and are equipped with all mod-cons, whilst retaining a traditional English feel. Situated only 30 minutes from central London, the venue is set to provide the perfect weekend get-away.

What it will cost: Double rooms start from £275 per room per night (VAT and breakfast included). For further information visit  www.elitehotels.co.uk/lutonhoo
