Speaking today, Gary Slatter, Director of Golf for Fairmont St Andrews said: “The Kittocks is a fantastic course that hugs over a mile of St Andrews coastline. With its panoramic views and improved layout, Kittocks is one of the most enjoyable courses in Scotland.

“Kittocks Open Day will be a day when locals and golfers from around Scotland can come to the Home of Golf,  play Kittocks for free and see how golf in the area is getting better and better.’

The Kittocks course is a coastal golf course, with stunning views over the Eden Estuary and beaches of St Andrews. The former Devlin course that reminded Gene Sarazen of Pebble Beach, has been re-routed with two holes coming from the Torrance course.

Slatter added: “Given that our Kittocks course will be in full play throughout the Winter without any temporary greens or tees, we have a number of great options for golfers including a fourball for £99 only. If you are looking to play a sea view course, at the Home of Golf this winter, Kittocks will give you a golfing experience to remember.”

The re-routing of the two courses is part of an overall £13.5 million upgrade for the hotel including refurbished rooms, a new sports bar with large lcd televisions and pool table plus a sensational signature Spa, featuring Kerstin Florian products.
