Nick Faldo’s first step into design will always be remembered for the bunkers – and in particular the sea of sand which exists on the 9th. But there is a lot more to Chart Hills than sand with plenty of good golf holes. Mature oaks and water are just as much of a hazard and the course is always superbly manicured.
