If this Top 100 was judged on purely technical terms, Seaton Carew would probably be ranked higher. It is a truly splendid links challenge. Aesthetically, though, it loses points for its occasionally industrial backdrop. Serious golfers will see past that, though, and immensely enjoy this robust seaside course.
