If Woburn’s signature is tree-lined fairways, nowhere is this more true than on the supposed ‘third’ course. The Duchess is shorter than the other two but that is perhaps just as well because it demands you drive the ball straight off the tee. If you don’t, it is quite simple – your second will be played more sideways than forwards.
