Putting prestige and ‘experience’ aside, many prefer a round on the East over the famous West; it is shorter, more scoreable and arguably more heathland in nature. It’s also better value – although, in truth, still on the steep side of appealing. You will, though, really enjoy the springy, sandy turf.
