Converging on the borders of Yorkshire Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, this traditional club was edged out of our GB&I Top 100 by some stellar new entries last year. The host of the 1957 Ryder Cup, it is a fine strategic heathland, if lacking in the pyrotechnics of some of the higher-ranked courses of this type.
