The Duchess is ranked as the worst of the three at Woburn – but given its sister courses, that is hardly a criticism. The shortest of the trio, it is also arguably the prettiest. Carved through the ever-present woodland, it is defined by its collection of short holes as well as the tighter fairways which make accuracy off the tee essential. The 11th and 12th provide a terrific start to the back nine, offering a cute green complex and a lovely dog-leg respectively.
