A brilliant, typically Scottish links which would be even more highly regarded if it was in Fife. Situated 20 minutes’ drive from Dumfries, it was designed by Mackenzie Ross while he was working on Turnberry. There is plenty of gorse and a bit of heather to keep you honest while the white shell paths are a nice touch.
