Dave Thomas laid out a modern championship course in the peace and tranquility of the Border hills but you won’t want to play it at 7,010 yards. The 6,555-yard tees are adequate, especially when you consider this is parkland-style golf (incorporating woodland sections) with fairways which never run especially fast.
