The course only opened in 2008, but looks as if it’s been there since 1708. It’s a  modern take on Old Tom Morris’s Machrihanish Golf Club next door, with six greens and five tees right by the sea. New cottages on site and regular flights from Glasgow make the two Kintyre courses a very attractive – and adventurous – golf break.
