The 13th oldest club in the world is just 15 minutes inland from St Andrews and though it is not on the coast you do still feel a sea breeze on this heathland-links combination. It often runs very fast in the summer, making even short par 4 holes such as the 366-yard 4th exacting – large revetted bunkers protect the left side and heather awaits on the right.
