Irvine (Bogside) is located a few miles inland from the west coast and hence sea views are not a strong feature. However, it does benefit from lovely sandy turf, swathes of gorse and heather, pot bunkers and exceptionally true greens. Best of all, there are blind shots, hidden greens and lots of beguiling quirkiness. If you enjoy that kind of golf, this is heaven.
