Having regulary played Mount Ober before joining another club i feel quite loyal to this course. Mainly because of the people who are friendly and very welcoming. The green fees are great value, (especially the winter warmer offer) and the clubhouse has a nice friendly vibe to it and always seems quite busy. I think the socials ide of this club must be quite strong. The course however is dissapointing. The layout is fine but the condition leaves a lot to be desired. Firstly its wet, second the greens are not close to what the could be, the ball does not roll out and they just dont appear to be cut often enough, (even in the summer months). The bunkers dont seem to get raked often enough so the sand is compacted and often flooded. I think there is a big membership which does not surprise me..If i was one of them i would form a working committee to sort out the conditioning of the course. Oh the old guy at the range is unfriendly to everyone so dont be offended....
