Having recieved a gift voucher to play this course i am glad to say the small matter of inclement weather was never going to put me off as i was only in the region for a day. My brother hredculbs which was a little expensive at £20 but as the golf was a present, sure.... The man in the pro-shop was very helpful and welcoming. He even ran upstairs to the closed bar to see if they had any matches for me having forgotten my own.. The course is much improved since i had last played there around 10yrs ago. The old 18th is now the 1st and a few other holes have been rejigged. The bunkers, greens, fairways and tees were all in excellent condition and the maturing trees are really turning this into a fine parkland track. Particular holes of note include the challenging 5th, the tricky 7th and the beautiful 16th. If your in the area call in before the place gets swamped with visitors to the new Nick Faldo layout..
