What we say...
Reviewed in our Waterproof Test 2014: The jacket is noticeably very warm when you put it on. The material is thick but not overly heavy when dry, but increases more than most when wet as the jacket seems to hold the water and is more difficult to rub off. An inside pocket with fleece lining increases warmth further.
Overall it repelled water well, nothing getting through to the base layer underneath. The ‘webbing belt’ with a large clip on the trousers is odd, but it can be removed. The fleece-lined pockets on the trousers are a nice touch and the soft-sounding material reduces distractions. Also has a hood under the collar.
