Designed to target the needs of better players. It has a compact head, narrower top edges, thinner soles and a shallower cavity, plus less off set.
You get all the benefits of a variable thickness cup face to maximise ball speeds, and tungsten-infused internal standing wave to optimise ball flight and control. Callaway’s urethane microsphere technology in the cavity also dampens vibration, improving sound and feel, without compromising face flex or bounce back.

We’ve been massive fans of most things Rogue this year, but the Rogue Pro iron’s one product our test team struggled to get their heads round. We completely understand Callaway have tried to build forgiveness into a better player iron, that bits simple. But when that forgiveness comes at the expense of a better player look then what’s the point? Don’t get us wrong when it comes to numbers Rogue Pro was right up there with the fastest ball speeds on test (124mph with TaylorMade P790 and Titleist AP3), it was also only a single yard behind the longest better player iron on test. So it can definitely perform even though none of our testers really felt the love for it.
Callaway Rogue Pro Irons Review: Verdict
Our test pro reckoned primarily thanks to it’s head shape the Pro didn’t make him feel like a better player, it’s a very different offering to the brilliant competition. For golfers wanting a better player iron from Callaway in 2018 you have to look at the X-Forged. Yes it’s a proper players iron and will suit a tiny minority, but if your abilities not quite good enough we reckon there’s better alternatives out there to the Rogue Pro.

Callaway Rogue Pro Irons: Key Features
360 Face Cup and VFT
Rogue Pro Irons combine our renowned 360 Face Cup technology with Variable Face
Thickness (VFT) technology to expand the portion of the face that delivers fast ball speed.
Face Cup employs a shallow, flexible rim around the perimeter of the face that flexes and
releases at impact to increase ball speed. VFT also influences how the face itself flexes
to promote more ball speed on off-centre hits. The combination of these two technologies
promotes ball speed and distance.
Tungsten Weighting for Optimal Flight and Control
Tungsten Weighting allows us to position the CG in each of the long irons with
extraordinary precision, promoting optimum launch and control at each individual loft. The
tungsten, twice as heavy as steel, concentrates significant weight into a small space in
the form of an intricately shaped part, which is key to precisely controlling CG location.
Urethane Microspheres for Phenomenal Sound and Feel
The upside of a thin clubface is faster ball speed and more distance, the downside is
excessive vibration that generates an unpleasant sound and feel. Urethane can be used
to dampen vibration to improve sound and feel, but it can also greatly reduce the face’s
ability to flex, lowering COR and ball speed. Our elastic-urethane microspheres provide
the sound and feel benefits of urethane without compromising COR or ball speed.
Rogue Pro Performance Package
Caters to the preferences of better players with a compact head, thin topline, thin sole,
shallow cavity and minimal offset, to increase workability, trajectory control and impact
feedback. And the lofts are slightly weaker than Rogue Standard.

Four new models
Rogue irons all feature a multi- material construction, and a combination of our best new and existing technologies. The family of four models each feature a suite of technologies that work together to heighten performance for di erent golfers.
Microsphere technology
Thin, fast face irons promote faster ball speeds, but they experience a signi cant amount of vibration, which can result in a harsh, clicky sound and feel. We’ve solved this problem with something I’ve called the ‘Swiss cheese’ e ect. By infusing thousands of tiny air pockets (microspheres) into a new urethane material we dampen vibration without slowing the club face.
Standing wave tech
By injection-moulding dense tungsten into intricate shapes, we positioned the centre of gravity carefully and individually for each Rogue iron. The tech also helps control impact vibration, improving feel and sound and giving an optimum launch to each set.
Thin, faster faces
The Rogue’s Face Cup employs a shallow, flexible rim around the perimeter that exes and releases at impact to increase ball speed. Variable Face Thickness (VFT) technology dramatically expands the portion of the face that delivers fast ball speed, giving you more distance on o -centre hits.
