What we say...

We review the Cleveland CBX Full-Face 2 wedge, with its larger-than-ever face, increased forgiveness and spin-boosting technologies.

If you don’t always strike your wedge shots from the middle of the face, or you simply like the versatility of being able to use more of the face around the green, the Cleveland CBX Full-Face 2 wedge may be just what you’re looking for.

The CBX Full-Face 2 features the biggest face ever seem on a Cleveland CBX wedge, with 13% more contact area than the RTX Full-Face wedges.

The high-toe profile and larger face will help when you want to open the face of your wedge.

The CBX Full-Face 2 features new HydraZip technology, which uses dynamic face blasts and lazer lines to maximize friction for improved spin consistency in dry and wet conditions.

A new groove design, called UltiZip, also boosts spin, with grooves that are sharper, deeper and more tightly spaced.

The CBX Full-Face 2 also features Cleveland’s ZipCore technology, a low-density core designed to expand the sweet spot and boost MOI for forgiveness. Combined with a hollow-cavity design, this helps put the center of gravity right behind the impact zone, while a vibration-absorbing insert improves feel.

The 50° and 52° feature a full sole design for greater forgiveness on full shots.

The 54°, 56°, 58° and 60° feature a C-shaped sole with added bounce in the center and material shaved off the heel for a combination of forgiveness and versatility.

Cleveland CBX Full-Face 2 wedge loft options

All lofts feature a new bounce chamfer that helps get the wedge in and out of the turf from a variety of attack angles, which reduces the risk of chunked chip shots.

The CBX Full-Face 2 Wedge offers premium high-spin shaft options, including the True Temper Dynamic Gold 115 Spinner Tour Issue and the Project X Catalyst 80 Spinner. The Lamkin Crossline 360 grip comes standard on all CBX Full-Face 2 Wedges.

What Cleveland say about the CBX Full-Face 2 Wedges

“Our new CBX Full-Face 2 wedge allows golfers the freedom to get creative around the greens and in tight yardages, with the perfect amount of spin control,” says Sean Hanafusa, CEO and Chairman at Srixon Sports Europe. “With the biggest face ever on a CBX wedge, you’ll be able to strike the ball anywhere on the face with more forgiveness, while enjoying controlled stopping power in any conditions.”
