What we say...

Tech:

Electro-formed nickel cobalt grooves provide long lasting spin. Reduced glare from dark smoke PVD finish. An ATV sole option increases versatility.

Our verdict:

We often scoff at claims made by manufacturers of extra spin, distance or feel as so rarely are they backed up by fact. But we can say hands down the EF wedges spin, just as TaylorMade promised they would! Across the board our results showed shots flew a little lower (shot’s went forward rather than up) with extra spin, which is a real benefit if you’re after maximum control and scoring potential. Our test samples were straight out the wrapper and their aggressive grooves chewed the cover from some of the test balls. Universally we liked the head shape, feel and sleek PVD finish.

Bottom line:

The EF’s are a real wolf in sheep’s clothing. Their cosmetics are really simple and straight forward with no unnecessary design “fluff”. But trust us there’s some real bite under that shiny exterior.
