Known for some of the best golf shoes and standout designs, wearing G/FORE ensures you’ll make a statement as you walk the fairways. Having tested every model in the current G/FORE lineup, I can confidently say that no shoe embodies the brand’s ethos quite like the G18.
From the moment I slipped into the G/FORE G18, I was impressed by its premium feel. The bold design is eye-catching, with rubber soles offering excellent grip both on and off the course. Although slightly heavier than most spikeless options, the comfort and performance were immediately noticeable.
What stood out most to me was the cushioning, particularly the massaging sole, which added an extra layer of comfort throughout my rounds. The G18 is designed to be a performance spikeless shoe, and it certainly lives up to that with its solid construction and superior comfort.

I feel that at this point, I’d give any G/FORE shoes full marks for comfort. As with every other golf shoe from G/FORE, the cushioning in the G18 is exceptional, offering plenty of comfort throughout the round. The massaging sole is one of the best features, providing a soft and supportive feel that makes walking comfortable, both on and off the course.
The padding around the ankles and heel provides excellent support, making the shoe feel secure without compromising comfort. A slight crease forms across the foot after some wear, but this doesn’t significantly detract from the overall comfort.

The G18 performs well in terms of traction and stability, thanks to its rubber sole. The grip is excellent, even off the course, allowing for easy transitions. I could wear the shoes to and from the course with ease. I was a little skeptical about the rubber nubs on the sole, but was pleasantly surprised. While I wouldn’t recommend them in soft, wet conditions, they perform wonderfully in warmer, drier climates.
The shoe is flexible enough for a natural range of motion during the swing, with the TPU heel counter keeping the foot secure. The bright pink colourway makes it hard to miss, and the additional grip near the toe enhances performance during turns, although it may not appeal to all golfers. Despite its lower profile design, the shoe feels secure, making it a solid choice for both performance and comfort.

You’ll want to keep in mind that the soles will wear down over time, so ensuring the shoe is built to last is essential, and G/FORE has nailed it here. I also found that the shoe can handle itself very well in inclement weather, too, no wet feet in sight.
