What we say...
Pluto is shaking up golf footwear with the P1 – a streetwear-inspired spikeless sneaker that players have been waiting for.
Golf has been crying out for a brand like Pluto, and with the P1, they’ve nailed it. I’ve been wearing these shoes for months now, and pretty much everywhere I can take them, I have. What’s telling is that around 70% of that wear has been off the course, which says a lot about their versatility. For me, they deserve to be in the conversation alongside some of the best golf shoes you can buy right now.
This isn’t a shoe that tries to be a tour-level performance model. Instead, it embraces what so many golfers actually want: a comfortable, stylish, streetwear-inspired sneaker you can wear just as easily to the course as you can to the pub afterwards. That balance of fashion and function is exactly why the Pluto P1 is quickly being talked about as one of the best spikeless golf shoes on the market.
The Pluto P1 isn’t for players chasing maximum structure or the locked-in feel of a pro-level spikeless shoe. But for golfers who love sneaker culture, value premium materials, and want footwear that transitions seamlessly from fairway to everyday, it’s one of the most exciting new golf shoes to arrive in years.
Throw in a growing reputation highlighted by the limited-edition collaboration with Captain Morgan, and it’s clear Pluto isn’t just making shoes, it’s building a brand with serious style credibility.

Pros
- Stylish streetwear-inspired design
- Soft, premium leather upper
- Comfortable, sneaker-like fit
- Versatile on and off the course
Cons
- Only best in dry/summer conditions
Comfort: 5/5
Straight out of the box, the Pluto P1 feels more like a sneaker than a traditional golf shoe. The fit is secure but low to the ground, giving you that natural sneaker-like feel. The insole is soft and cushioned, so you don’t get the harsh firmness of some performance-first shoes.
Around the heel and ankle, padding is plush, with the tongue also designed for comfort. I’d recommend going half a size up for a roomier fit, especially if you’re used to wider sneakers. Once dialled in, they’re the kind of shoe you could easily wear for 36 holes or an entire day off the course without thinking twice.
The leather is soft, flexible, and shapes nicely to your foot. It’s not BOOST-level bouncy, but as a casual performance hybrid, it hits a really sweet spot.

Performance: 3/5
Let’s be honest: the Pluto P1 isn’t built to be a tour-level spikeless golf shoe. If you want maximum ground force, stability, and all-weather performance, you’ll probably be happier elsewhere. But for a sneaker-style spikeless, the Pluto P1 is better than most.
The traction is solid, giving you confidence in dry and firm conditions. On the course, it feels steady and reliable, while off the course, it performs like any premium sneaker. It’s not a shoe I’d reach for in heavy rain or on very soft ground, but for summer golf and social rounds it’s the first thing I’ll grab.
The big win here is versatility. You don’t feel like you’re sacrificing performance for style, which has been a common problem with lifestyle-led golf shoes from bigger brands. Pluto has found a balance that makes sense.

Durability: 4/5
The build quality of the Pluto P1 is excellent. The soft leather upper feels premium and holds its shape well, while the Midnight Chrome colourway looks sharp and modern. The only issue I ran into was the blue suede detail, which showed some slight discoloration in the heat.
This could have just been a me problem…
With a little care, the suede quickly returned to looking good as new, and it hasn’t been an issue since. The outsole and stitching have been durable enough to handle regular play. While it’s not built for hardcore wet-weather abuse, for dry days and casual wear, it’s more than up to the task.
What impressed me most was how good the P1 looked after repeated use. Even after months of wear, a quick clean brought it back to that crisp, streetwear-inspired finish that makes it stand out.

Style and design: 5/5
This is where the Pluto P1 shines. From the clean silhouette to the subtle branding, it’s a shoe that oozes sneaker culture. The “P” on the side panel and “Pluto” script on the sole add just enough personality without being over the top.
It pairs just as well with joggers and shorts as it does with trousers, and it wouldn’t look out of place away from the course. For me, I’ve actually ended up wearing them more off the course than on it, which says everything about their versatility.
Golf fashion has been moving this way for a while, but Pluto feels like one of the first brands to truly nail it. They’ve created a golf shoe that sneakerheads and style-conscious golfers can get genuinely excited about.

Technology and features: 4/5
The Pluto P1 isn’t about flashy, over-engineered tech, but it does have a few smart features. The spikeless outsole gives steady traction while keeping that trainer-like feel underfoot. The soft leather upper provides premium comfort and quality, while remaining easy to maintain with minimal care.
The shoe is marketed with the tagline “Comfort: Out of This World,” and while that’s playful, it’s not far off. Insoles are soft and cushioned, giving enough support without feeling heavy or rigid.
Sizing is important here: Pluto recommends going up half a size for the best fit, which I’d echo. That little adjustment makes a big difference to the shoes’ all-day comfort.
Final verdict: 21/25
The Pluto P1 golf shoe has not only been a welcome addition to my golfing roster, but it is a brilliant addition to the market and proof that golf footwear doesn’t always have to be tour-driven to be excellent. It’s stylish, versatile, and genuinely fun to wear a sneaker that works on the course but shines off it.
Yes, it’s not going to compete with adidas Adizero ZG or True Linkswear OG3 Pro Golf Shoes for pure performance. But that’s not what the P1 is about. It’s about bringing streetwear sensibility into golf in a way that feels authentic, premium, and, of course, looks the part.
Pluto have really built something special here. I can’t wait to see where the brand goes next, but for now, the P1 is one of the coolest and most enjoyable golf shoes I’ve worn in years.
