PING i20 driver

PING’s i15 was one of the best-looking drivers on the market, but the new i20 successor might just be a little bit smarter, and more aerodynamic.
The distinctive matte-black finish allows the golfer to solely concentrate on the job at hand, and it certainly sits with a minimum amount of fuss behind the ball.
PING engineers have designed the crown of the driver to reduce drag for optimal clubhead and ball speed, meaning more distance off the face.
But it’s not all about the looks – the i20 is more playable in our eyes than the i15, and this is in part thanks to the dense tungsten weights on the sole of the club that increases the Moment of Inertia but golfers can still expect low spin rates.
“The non-glare finish absorbs light, allowing the player to focus without distraction,” said John A Solheim, PING Chairman and CEO.
“Our Tour pros are very enthusiastic about the finish – but even more so about the i20’s performance. Players are able to execute any shot they want with confidence,” he added.
In terms of price, the i20 will retail at £299 and while this is certainly towards the more-expensive end of the driver category, this is a serious product for the good player.
