TECH TALK This forged, multi-material creation uses an 8620 carbon-steel body, a tungsten sole and a hollow-sole cavity that is designed to soften feel and position the CG for high-launching shots. Stock shaft is the Project X. As with all Ping irons, a dozen lie-angle options provides the ability to order
specs ranging from 3.75 degrees flat to 4.5 degrees upright.

HOT Ping’s long-awaited entry into commercially available forged irons was worth the wait. The look is comfortable without being too big, and the club delivers on feel in a way previous Ping players irons didn’t.
