Popular 2-FORE!-1 venue Dorset Golf & Country Club has just invested £1m, having now opened a new bowling rink and fitness centre.
This is a fantastic new addition to the popular resort of luxury log cabins and hotel combined with 27 holes of excellent parkland golf.
Two of the worlds greatest ever bowlers – David Bryant C.B.E. & Tony Allcock M.B.E. – attended the official opening of the new 3 rink Indoor Bowls Arena, at Bere Regis.
It was the first time that the two stars, who have won 29 World Bowls titles between them, have opened a new bowling facility together.
Over 200 people attended the opening, guests including the Chief Executives of Bowls England and The English Indoor Bowling Association, the EIBA Men’s & Ladies Presidents, and the Dorset Indoor & Outdoor Presidents.
Andy Thomson, England Captain & Graham Shadwell, England skip and Commonwealth team member, played a very high quality exhibition match which everyone enjoyed.
The Dorset Golf & Country Club has been expanding at a fast rate over the past few years, now offering 12 luxury log cabins to rent on a fully inclusive package… and FREE golf!
The clubhouse has been expanded and the restaurant overlooks the Purbeck Hills, all helping to make thre the resort an ideal place for a golfing or bowling break.
