feb16 ballmachine

A non-golfing Maidenhead man has come up with a novel way of dispensing second-hand golf balls…by selling them in vending machines!
Garry Carr and the love of his life, loyal Jack Russell dog Tilly-Miss, go ball finding at their local courses every day and over the years have discovered several thousand of them.
Thanks to ball-sniffing Tilly-Miss, Garry admits he’s made a decent living out of selling his ‘finds.’ And now he aims to take it one step further – he’s hoping his ball vending machines will become a familiar sight at not only golf clubs but pubs and clubs (non-golfing variety) in general.
He said: “This is a great way for golf societies, golf related outlets, and hotel groups that cater for golfing breaks to raise funds throughout the year.
“Each machine will offer golfers an opportunity to purchase a golf ball and will be loaded with premium brand golf balls. The 18x18ins machines can be sited in a small area and can be placed on a stand specially designed for the machine.”
The machines will hold 300 washed and cleaned balls and need no power to operate, using a simple slot mechanism. They’re even echo friendly, says Garry who has received enquiries from all over the golfing world including Chile, Sweden and Argentina!

The fully loaded machines can be purchased for £250 with each ball costing £1. For more info visit www.tilly-missgolf.com
