US dominates World’s Top 100 courses

America has provided five of the top ten courses in Golf World magazine’s Top 100 Courses in the World poll.
Courses from these shores occupy four other top 10 placings while Australia’s classy Royal Melbourne also features in the coveted top 10.
Turnberry’s magical Ailsa Course, scene of last year’s memorable Open Championship, is the best placed of the British contenders with this year’s Open venue – The Old Course at St Andrews – just sneaking into the top ten.
