New head pro at Slaley Hall

De Vere Slaley Hall has welcomed world class championship golf in recent years and has appointed Steve McNally as Head Teaching Professional to continue the successful development of the teaching facilities and golf academy at the leading Northumberland resort.
With over 30 years experience as a PGA Professional McNally brings a wealth of knowledge to the role, which will see him spearhead coaching programmes across all levels of players, including working with the Northumberland County squad.
McNally moves to Slaley Hall from another luxury De Vere resort, Oulton Hall, which has established itself as one of the UK’s leading practice facilities under McNally’s guidance as Senior PGA Teaching Professional.
Having spent 8 years as National High Performance Coach for the Scottish National mens and ladies squads prior to joining De Vere, McNally is renowned for providing high quality coaching programmes for golfers of all abilities and will be an asset to the Slaley Hall golf team as it positions itself as an ASEE recognised coaching facility.
Speaking of his new role, McNally commented: “I am delighted to be involved in the development of the golf facilities and coaching programmes at Slaley Hall.
“It is renowned as a leading championship venue and I’m looking forward to using the great practice facilities to develop high quality coaching programmes for local golfers and regional squads.”

In addition to developing the coaching programmes, McNally has also been extended an invite to the 2010 PGA Seniors Championship, which will be hosted over the Hunting course at Slaley Hall for the third consecutive year.
