Oceânico Amendoeira, one of Southern Portugal’s Premier golf destinations, has launched some fantastic stay and play deals for the upcoming season. Opened in October 2008, the Amendoeira two-course resort joins Oceânico’s portfolio of five golf courses in the Algarve, completing their offering of ‘The Magnificent Seven’.

The Faldo course at Oceânico Amendoeira is a par-72 Championship course that has been designed, as with all Faldo courses, with strategic play in mind. It provides a stern test for golfers of all levels. Rocky outcrops, meandering water features and views of the distant mountains and orange groves define its essential character.

Perfectly complementing the Faldo course, whilst taking advantage of the rich valley soil in contrast to the arid hillside, the Christy O’Connor Jnr-designed course features lush landscaping and orange groves in a low-lying valley where large areas of lakes and watercourses will demand accurate play. 

A round on the Faldo course will set you back €130 (£113), while playing the O’Connor course will cost €125 (£109).
