Continental Europe’s No.1 golf resort to host huge Pro-Am

Costa Navarino, the No.1 golf resort in continental Europe, will host the Aegean Messinia Pro-Am for a second time.

Costa Navarino is set to welcome up to 75 teams for the second Aegean Messinia Pro-Am in September.

Played from September 13-17, the Greek venue (No.1 in our Top 100 Continental Europe Resorts), the event will headline the golfing calendar at the Mediterranean’s sustainably-driven destination.

The event enjoyed a hugely successful debut in 2022 and 2023 will see participants tackle three of the resort’s signature courses – The Dunes Course and The Bay Course (both of which feature in our Top 100 Courses in Continental Europe) and the International Olympic Academy Golf Course – named as the ‘World’s Best New Golf Course’ at the 2022 World Golf Awards. Set amidst a lush landscape with centuries-old olive trees and verdant hills, each course offers a different challenge with sea views and under blue skies, while their development and operation are aligned with the destination’s sustainable practices. We named the venue one of the Top 100 Greenest Courses in Europe in our inaugural ranking.

Players and guests can choose their accommodation from the ultra-luxury Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino which opens this summer, the recently-opened vibrant W Costa Navarino, as well as the authentic luxury setting of The Westin Resort Costa Navarino and The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort for their accommodation. Tournament packages range from four to seven nights.

Sanctioned by the Confederation of Professional Golf and supported by the Hellenic Golf Federation and the PGA of Greece, the Aegean Messinia Pro-Am sees each team comprise one professional and three amateurs, with a $70,000 prize fund on offer.

Offering the opportunity to compete for an array of top individual and team prizes, the four-day event will also showcase a rich and engaging program of social events, featuring the new buzzing open marketplace Navarino Agora, which opens this summer.

Team registration for the 2023 Aegean Messinia Pro-Am is now open and is on a first-come, first-served basis. AEGEAN Airlines is offering special airline ticket prices for the tournament’s participants and complimentary air tickets (save taxes) to the participating professionals.
