Kelly’s bargain putter gets the job done

You may think that the world’s top professionals use all the latest, greatest and most expensive equipment in their quest for Tour titles – but not Jerry Kelly.

The American finished on 14 under par to win this year’s Zurich Classic in New Orleans – his first title since 2002. And what’s more, he was using a Cleveland Classic putter which retails for just $69 – that’s less than 50 quid!

And the Cleveland staffer spoke in glowing terms about his wand-play after his impressive win which netted him $1,134,000. “It’s been a long time but i’ve been putting better than I ever have and when you’re making putts it makes winning a lot easier.”

The 42-year-old also used Cleveland’s Launcher driver, a HiBore XLS hybrid and CG7 Tour irons.
