They say changing your equipment can be a bad thing, but for Louis Oosthuizen it was a stroke of genius.
The South African switched into the PING Rapture V2 ahead of the Andalucia Open – and then went and won it!
The 27-year-old fired a final round 67 on the Parador de Malaga course to finish on an impressive 17-under-par. The win also moved him inside the top 50 of the world rankings which means he’ll be playing the US Masters at Augusta.
“I was quite nervous down the stretch and very nervous on the 18th tee. I just decided to hit it as hard as I could,” he said.
PING staffer Oosthuizen also had S57 irons in the bag, Tour-W wedges, G5 fairway woods and a Redwood Anser putter.
