PING S56 irons racking up the wins

PING’s S56 irons have been on sale for a while now, and their strong performance on the worldwide Tours continues to impress.
So far the players’ irons have helped golfers record victories in the Unites States, France, Switzerland, Scotland, Spain, South Africa, Mexico and Singapore. In fact, the irons have 12 worldwide wins to their name already.
“We’ve never seen such instant acceptance and success for a new product on Tour,” said PING Chairman and CEO John Solheim. “We’re extremely pleased so many players have switched and seen immediate results.”
The S56 irons benefit from a range of innovations including variable tungsten toe weighting – this means the CG is optimised for each iron, with the long irons launching higher and the short irons launching lower for more control.
The biggest win to date for the S56 irons came when Louis Oosthuizen won his maiden Major title with victory at the Open Championship.
