Free custom fitting and golf lessons at the Belfry!

The Belfry are offering free custom fitting sessions and lessons from their top-quality coaches at an open day this month.
The PGA National Academy at the world-renowned venue, which has hosted the Ryder Cup on the Brabazon course on four separate occasions, is opening its doors to the public on Sunday October 24, 2010.
As part of the day golfers can ascertain the perfect club set up and specification for them on the Belfry’s hi-tech launch monitors in one of five state-of-the-art fitting rooms and get lessons from PGA qualified pros at the range.
There will also be a host of competitions such as nearest the pin and longest drive, clinics and demos throughout the day.
The event kicks off at 10am and the itinerary is as follows:
10.00 – Introduction
11.30 – Custom fitting special with launch monitor. Free fittings
12.30 – Quintec demo
13.30 – Short game clinic
14.30 – Junior clinic and short game clinic
15.30 – Long game clinic
16.30 – Custom fitting special with launch monitor. Free fittings
17.30 – Quintec demo
19.30 – Longest drive competition
For the first time in the Midlands, the new Titleist 910 woods will be available for purchase; meanwhile Ping’s new K15 and Faith Series clubs will also be on sale in The Shop, recently voted ‘Best Pro Shop’ in Golf World magazine. The latest equipment from Callaway, Wilson, Mizuno, Nike and TaylorMade will also be on show and can all be tested on the 34-bay driving range in the Academy.
TaylorMade will also be exhibiting its new Tour truck with custom fitting opportunities normally only available to top players like Europe’s Ryder Cup stars Martin Kaymer, Peter Hanson and Edoardo Molinari. As well as the inclusion of the truck, the new TaylorMade Burner 2.0 irons will be available for purchase, while the tour-proven Ghost putter will also be on sale to the public.
