TaylorMade technology helps to propel Clarke into Major limelight

Darren Clarke used his arsenal of TaylorMade equipment to the best possible effect as he clinched the 140th Open Championship at Royal St George’s in Sandwich.

The Northern Irishman produced the ultimate professional display in Kent, and the iconic TaylorMade R11 driver was part of the weaponry that delivered the goods.

In addition to the distinctive white-headed driver, Clarke also used an R9 fairway wood and a Rescue TP with Flight Control Technology.

Clarke’s shot-making ability was key on a highly-challlenging day in the south-east, with the former WGC winner using his TaylorMade MB irons to the best of his abilities as his title rivals fell by the wayside.

The former Ryder Cup Star also used three TaylorMade xFT wedges on his way to victory over nearest competitors Phil Mickelson and Dustin Johnson.

Clarke was also a beneficiary of the superb Penta TP, the world’s first five-piece golf ball.
