Graeme Mc Dowell says: This is a driveable par 4 and that makes it a terrific hole in matchplay. There’s a little gap in the trees so you can see the green from the left tees and if it’s a nice calm day most guys will be able to hit 3-wood into the opening of the green.

You’re always looking to stay towards the front of the green because anything at the left edge has a chance of running down into the hazard. The key area is going to be the right. It slopes towards the green but is it going to be shaved or is it going to be heavy rough? That will determine how this hole is playing.
