The Belfry recently proved their cuisine is the best on the greens, beating stiff golf club competition to the coveted title of Catering Club of the Year.

Highly-acclaimed clubs such as Gleneagles and The London Golf Club in Kent were left bunkered by The Belfry’s fantastic catering credentials at the annual industry awards, organised by Club House magazine.

The prestigious accolade was awarded to the Belfry team for their impressive herb garden (seen right) and vegetable plot in a champagne awards evening at Warwickshire Golf and Country Club.

Terry Jezeph (pictured right), Grounds Manager at The Belfry, is responsible for maintaining the herb and vegetable garden that supply the hotel’s kitchens.

He commented: “It was such an honour to be collecting the award for Catering Club of the Year. We grow vegetables and herbs on site to guarantee freshness and ensure our catering services are as environmentally-friendly as possible.  We also use local producers and farmers to cut down on food miles.”

Louise Blyth, Head of Marketing  at The Belfry, chipped in:  “The Belfry prides itself as a world-class business, golf and leisure resort and the award demonstrates our commitment to offering a fine dining experience as well as our three golf courses.”

“The whole team work extremely hard to provide the highest standard of cuisine across The Belfry’s three restaurants whilst remaining dedicated to our green initiatives and this award is credit to this.”
