Chance to play with the celebs
Last updated:
Golfers with a penchant for celebrity spotting are in for a treat as well as supporting a very good cause when they sign up for the 2011 Dan Maskell Tennis Trust Celebrity Golf Challenge.
Attracting teams from all around the country, the event will take place at the prestigious Wentworth Club in Surrey on Tuesday 14th June.
It is one of the main fund-raising events of the Dan Maskell Tennis Trust (Charity No. 1133589), which raises funds for tennis players with disabilities ranging from sensory or physical disabilities to those with learning difficulties.
Now in its 12th year, the relaxed and informal approach to the day’s proceedings is undoubtedly one of the event’s ingredients for success.
Many of the teams return year after year, enjoying the fabulous hospitality as well as the chance to play at one of the world’s most prestigious golf clubs.
Alongside the 18-holes of golf on the East Course, there will be a full day of hospitality including breakfast, course refreshments, a Pimms Reception and dinner in the Ballroom.
Prizes will be awarded to the first four teams and winners of the Longest Drive and Nearest the Pin competitions. And to top it all off there will be a chance to win and bid for some fabulous prizes in the raffle, silent and open auctions, results of which will be announced at Dinner,
The event is open to teams of three (with a celebrity) or four, as well as individuals. Celebrities who have regularly supported the event include Rory Bremner, Harry Redknapp, Virginia Wade, Glenn Hoddle and Chris Hollins, to name just a few. This really is a spectacular way to treat yourself, your friends or your business colleagues, as well as raising money for a very worthwhile cause.
