TG’s Rate My Swing is back!

After an extended break, TG’s very own Rate My Swing online swing analysis forum is back and better than ever! Every week, a TG Elite Pro will be selected to analyse a swing from the TG website.
This week, Nick Graceland is the lucky chap who gets his swing analysed by TG Elite Teaching Pro Chris Ryan. If you’ve uploaded your golf swing recently, be sure to look out for next week’s analysis – it could be you!
Take a look at Nick’s swing…
“You’ve created some good positions at address Nick but you tend to lose these body positions into the backswing causing the club to travel a little too far. This means you’ll struggle to marry up the club to your body turn on the way down and through impact.”
“At the top of the backswing your left knee has worked too much in towards the ball and down, this causes a loss of height in the whole left side and creates a poor spine angle at the top which leans towards the target, not away from it.”
“Nick, you should focus on stabilising your left knee and hip more in the backswing and try to work the left shoulder more over your right knee. This should see the length of your swing reduce and will create some more orthodox body positions at the top with the spine maintaining the angle that was pre set at address.”
“Fellow TG Elite Teaching Pro Rob Watts has a fantastic drill on the TG website entitled ‘Left Shoulder Tee Peg Drill’, which would help you achieve the correct feelings into your backswing. Good luck Nick and all the best, Chris.”
