Busy season ahead for trick shot star

The traditional curtain raiser to the golf season, the US Masters at Augusta, might still be some weeks away but there has been no let-up over the winter for record-breaking trick shot maestro David Edwards.
From day one of 2011, Edwards has been displaying his unique brand of skills and expertise to audiences across Europe.
Having celebrated New Year´s Day with a splendid show at the Gloria Resort in Turkey, he returned to Turkey at the end of the month to perform at the Austrian Business Golf League Finals and to entertain his audience with his witty on-course video commentary.
His winter programme continued with the Alles Over Golf & Lifestyle Event in Holland which took place last weekend in Den Bosch. This was the first of David´s series of performances at a selection of European golf shows.
At the end of this month David will be appearing at the Danish Golf Show in Herning and from April 8 to 10 he will return to the Scottish Golf Show in Glasgow for the sixth year in succession.
The Scottish Golf Show has a special place in David´s heart as that is where he set the world record last year for hitting 312 golf balls in just three minutes.
“I can´t wait to return to the Scottish Golf Show because coming back to Scotland feels like going home. The golfing audience in Scotland is second to none and last year they were hugely supportive when I set the world record. I’m planning a few special things for them again this year,” he promised.
The former Forest Pines GC Director of Golf is renowned for his trademark “scissor shots” as well as the range of quirky clubs he uses in his show which includes clubs with a shaft made of a hose pipe, a cricket bat, a fishing rod and one where the driver head is fitted at the end of a golf umbrella.
There is no doubt that 2011 will be yet another busy year for Edwards with a series of appearances at major European golf shows and tournaments already scheduled.
