McGinley’s a big hit with ClubstoHire.com

Dublin-based golf company ClubstoHire.com has more reason than most to welcome the appointment of Paul McGinley as Europe’s next Ryder Cup captain.

McGinley, who originates from Dublin and is the first Irishman to hold the captaincy, is also Brand Ambassador for the award-winning operation he helped to establish two years ago. It now supplies thousands of travelling golfers across Europe with a range of the latest high-performance clubs from just €35 per set per week.

In only its second year of operation in 2012, ClubstoHire.com supplied more than 30,000 sets of golf clubs and bags to golfers from 14 of the most popular golfing destinations – spanning the Mediterranean from Portugal’s Faro in the west to Belek in Turkey and Paphos on the island of Cyprus in the east.

In the process, it estimates to have saved golfers nearly €1m in additional airline charges, which have continued to rise since the company was set up.

“Paul has been a significant factor in the rapid growth of the company over the past two years and his well-deserved appointment to the Ryder Cup captaincy can only help to further our progress,” said Chief Executive Tony Judge.

The popular ClubstoHire.com website recently opened a new shop in the main arrivals hall at Spain’s Malaga airport, one of Europe’s busiest tourist destinations. Other locations include Lisbon; Murcia; Alicante; La Linea/Gibraltar; Palma, Majorca; Tenerife; Gran Canaria; as well as Edinburgh and Dublin.
