Donald Trump caught up in bizarre ‘cheating’ incident as he returns to Scottish golf course

As Donald Trump prepares to open the new links at his Aberdeen resort, a small incident at Turnberry that has caught the attention of eagle-eyed viewers…
Donald Trump has had quite the couple of weeks. (We’re talking strictly golf here, folks.)
Recently, the US president claimed another title of his own. Boasting on his social media platform, Truth, Trump said he won the member-member championship at his New Jersey resort.
“In between meetings and phone calls, it was a great honor to win the member-member championship, at Trump National, Bedminster (gross, no strokes) with Tommy Urciuoli as my partner,” he wrote.
“The many other competitors were not only great golfers, but also terrific people!”
It adds to his incredible legacy of club tournament victories at his own courses. His most recent title is his fifth of the year after his inauguration on January 20.
Among them, he supposedly partnered with Finnish president Alexander Stubb to win the men’s member-guest tournament at Trump International at West Palm Beach in March, before claiming victory in the senior club championship at Trump National in Jupiter a week later.
Trump has also previously won a club championship despite not teeing it up in the first round and claimed a senior club championship triumph without anyone actually seeing him play.
Whatever you make of his claims, Trump’s brashness and commitment to the game can’t be questioned.
According to the website Did Trump Golf Today?, the man himself has played golf 45 days out of 190 since taking office for the second time, with an estimated cost of $63 million to the taxpayer.
And the latest of those has embroiled him in another cheating scandal.
The 79-year-old is currently in Scotland as he prepares to open his new course at Trump International Golf Links, near Aberdeen.
But while playing a few holes at his other Scottish resort, Turnberry, Trump’s caddie was caught on camera giving him a little helping hand.
See if you can spot it…
As you can imagine, social media has had a field day. But in fairness to Trump, this is hardly a surprising play.
After all, the man has had a bestselling book on this very subject written all about him…

Trump’s member-member title in Bedminster was followed by another awkward incident at the soccer Club World Cup final at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium.
Trump and FIFA president Gianni Infantino presented Chelsea with the trophy following the English team’s 3-0 win over European champions Paris Saint-Germain, but while Infantino left the stage to let the players enjoy their moment, Trump decided to linger and become part of the celebrations.
Chelsea captain Reece James looked confused as to what was going on before hoisting aloft the trophy.
Cole Palmer, who scored two of Chelsea’s goals and assisted the other, was asked for his thoughts on the bizarre scene in his post-match press conference.
“I knew he was going to be here, but I didn’t know he was going to be on the stand when we lifted the trophy,” Palmer admitted. “I was a bit confused.”
