Bryson’s got competition! One of the world’s best golfers just launched his own YouTube channel

Tommy Fleetwood has launched his own YouTube channel.

Tommy Fleetwood is the latest star to embrace the world of YouTube golf.

Tommy Fleetwood is now a YouTube golfer. After appearing in countless YouTube videos for TaylorMade and alongside the likes of Rick Shiels and Grant Horvat, the Englishman has launched his own channel.

It is a trend that is now well established in golf. In fact, some of the biggest YouTube stars are arguably the sport’s most popular figures.

Shiels, for example, has several YouTube channels covering various aspects of the game and boasts more than three million subscribers across them all.

Horvat, who was later to the YouTube game, is hot on his heels and is closing in on 1.5 million subs.

With so much interest in golf on this platform, it makes sense that Fleetwood, one of the most popular pros in the world, would enter this space.

“I’ve given this a go, see what you think…” was Fleetwood’s Instagram caption for the promotion of his first video.

It remains to be seen what type of content he will focus on, but his opening foray focuses on how he prepares for a major, with the 125th US Open just days away.

In a little snippet of what’s included, Fleetwood is on camera going through one of his famous range drills, while there is also some talk about the Olympics and how he’s struggling to get his seven-year-old son Frankie to sort his grip out.

And if the early success is anything to go by, Fleetwood could be set to make quite a splash.

Published less than 24 hours ago, the near 30-minute video has already racked up more than 50,000 views.

Bryson DeChambeau was the first pro to really go down the YouTube route. The American has gained an army of fans for opening himself up to the online world and has more than two million people who have subscribed along for the journey.

The LIV golfer’s ‘Can I Break 50?’ series with other YouTubers and famous figures has been incredibly popular, as have the various challenge videos he has come up with and executed.

He also captured the attention of millions on social media earlier this year with his quest to make a hole-in-one over his house.

Whether Fleetwood will follow in the content machine’s unique footsteps and commit so fully to it will become apparent in time, but whatever the case, having another one of the best players in the world on YouTube is surely a big win for golf fans.
