The 2025 Open prize money will remain the same as last year, The R&A has announced.

This means the purse for the 153rd Open at Royal Portrush will stay as $17 million, with $3.1 million reserved for the Champion Golfer.

This is the first time since 2012 – when the total pot was a paltry $5 million in comparison – that there has been no increase.
